About Scuffys

Scuffy are simple shoes whose design originated hundred of years ago before the industrial revolution.  They are very soft leather shoes with a soft flexible soles such as you would find in moccasins.  The simple design allows your foot to lay flat in the shoe without any confinement.   (Your bunions will love them.)  They are similar to the "Earth Shoe" that was popular in the 1970’s.  They were introduced originally in the 1940’s as women’s casual shoes.  Sarkis Leather recently re-introduced them in an array of bright colors.

As their popularity has grown, men are requesting Scuffys in their sizes; therefore, we are now producing Scuffys in men’s sizes.  The demand for these simple shoes is based on their bright colors and comfort.  Many of our customers are now using them for Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Martial Arts, etc.
